As a native South Carolinian, fishing was imminent for Capt Jamie Hough of Redfish Mafia Charters in Charleston, SC. In 1995, as a freshman studying Biology and Psychology at the College Of Charleston, Jamie began spending summers as a mate and later Capt on boats at the world famous Bud-N-Mary’s Marina in Islamorada, Fl. This led to a life of traveling and billfishing for months at a time. When back in Charleston, he ran inshore charters and soon his business began to thrive.

Now, more than 20 years later, Capt Jamie Hough is either in Charleston chasing redfish and trout 350 charters per year or traveling all over the East and Gulf Coasts for Professional Redfish Tournaments as the HUK Gear/ Redfish Mafia Pro. Capt. Hough has numerous TV shows under his belt and several feature articles in publications such as Sport Fishing Magazine, SC Sportsman, GAFF and SC Game and Fish. In March of 2013, Jamie was voted Charleston City Paper’s “Best Fishing Charter 2013” and in May of 2014 he brought home Grand Champion Honors at the HT Elite Series tournament in Biloxi, Ms.
