I fell in love with Tarpon fishing back in the early 80’s fishing in the panhandle of Florida. After I graduated Troy State, I took a job in Atlanta as an illustrator for a Taxidermy magazine called Breakthrough. The person I was renting from had a place on the Georgia coast and I started coming down fishing with him regularly. It reminded me of the fishing on the gulf, it had Tarpon and I quickly fell in love with the area! I moved to St. Simons Island and opened a taxidermy business in 1991. Before long, I was fishing more than I was in my shop though, so I decide to get my captains license. The rest is history! It has been a dream come true to make money showing people what I love.
I met my wife through fishing also! Delaine and I were married in 1999 and we have a beautiful daughter, Logan, who enjoys the outdoors as much as her parents. In our off time, it is not uncommon to find us hanging out on the boat; water skiing and doing a little family fishing. When not on the water, you will find us turkey and deer hunting.
