Born and raised in Cincinnati Ohio, Captain Boomer grew up catching large mouth with his Grandfather and Uncle in lakes and farm ponds, and small mouth in local creeks and rivers. A love for fishing salt water came at a very young age with regular trips to Destin, Florida on the Back Down captained by Gary Jarvis. After attending Wingate University in North Carolina Captain Boomer’s career as a Fire Fighter began back to Ohio, and finally lead him to Myrtle Beach South Carolina were he has spent his career in public service ever since. The dream of a career on the water coincided with his move to the coast and he began as a deck hand on a 26′ center console, all the while working with Horry County Fire Rescue. In 2013 Captain Boomer purchased a 28′ Wellcraft and took over the offshore portion of the business he was working for. He has been featured on Big Water Adventures with Mark Davis where, accompanied by Bruce Brothers Charters, he caught a 1,000lb Bluefin Tuna on camera. After many successful years as a charter fisherman, Boomer cofounded and was named Chief Operating Officer of American Aquatic & Salt Fever Guide Service.
